Welcome to the First Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, headquartered at 3801 Market Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
This District, the oldest Episcopal District in African Methodism, is composed of seven Annual Conferences, sixteen Presiding Elder Districts and more than three hundred congregations.
The First Episcopal District extends from Delaware to Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York, Western New York, New England and to the Island of Bermuda. Bishop Richard Franklin Norris presides over the District and Mrs. Mary Ann Norris serves as Episcopal Supervisor.
